Carbon dioxide emissions from the burning of fossil fuels are causing the Earth’s climate to warm, disrupting normal weather patterns. Temperatures are increasing, glaciers are receding at unprecedented rates, pieces of the Antarctic ice shelf are breaking off, warmer seasons are becoming longer, droughts are worsening, and storms are becoming more severe.
Herbal Water is aware of its carbon footprint, and strives to be a leader in good environmental stewardship.
We take steps to reduce our carbon emissions and conserve energy by manufacturing Ayala’s Herbal Water as close as we can to its distribution and by carpooling and phone conferencing. To lessen pollution and increase efficiency, we use email instead of paper and fill our product in recyclable plastic bottles. And of course, our herbs are organically grown.
The paper we use for printing all of our business materials -- including folders, business cards and thank you cards -- is from New Leaf Paper. We’ve selected New Leaf because they provide papers that use among the highest percentages possible of recycled and sustainably harvested fibers, processed without the use of chlorine.
We have pledged to use a carbon offset program for emissions that are unavoidable. We have hired Carbonfund.org, one of the world's leading suppliers of carbon offset and climate consulting services. We pledge to offset our emissions through high-quality carbon offset projects, including clean energy technology programs such as solar and wind power, and planting trees.
As our company grows, we will develop further social and environmental initiatives to help save our planet, for ourselves and our children.
